    3. Why is the man telling the people to give a man a job? To reduce or end the unemployment rate and get people in jobs

    5. Who are the new poor? People who have recently lost jobs
    6. What did the Farmers Holiday Association do in Iowa? Block the flow of farm product to city in attempt to force prices up.
    7. What was a large cause of the Great Depression? Overproduction
    8. Why were banks forced to close? Because people where taking out all of their money

    10. What did Roosevelt say people had to fear? Fear itself
    11. With the poor increasing what did many private charities provide? Soup kitchens/food/coats

    28. What development helped bring disease down in cities? Better sewage systems
    29. What are unskilled laborers now doing to meet the changing needs of the modern world? Rebuilding schools, public buildings, community centers and airports.
